Cardz TV "Anything Goes" Challenge

Hello my friends!!! T.G.I.F.!!! I always love when the weekends get here, don't you? This weekend is even more special for me because this is the weekend that my mom and brother are leaving to drive here to Texas to come live! I have not seen them in 8 months so I'm sooo excited!!! This is also a very special post for me because it is my first challenge with Mary and CardzTV! as a new design team member!!! I'm so happy to be on this amazing and talented team!
The challenge is "anything goes" and it starts right now and ends on August 2nd at midnight EST.... Mary will announce the winner on August 3rd (by random.org) and one lucky participant will win one set of Mary's amazing cardz TV stamps! How cool is that? All you have to do to win is play along with us and link up your card before the deadline.

If you don't want to wait to see if you are the winner and want to purchase some cardz TV stamps, right away, simply go HERE and shop away!

So for my anything goes project.... I made this card ....

My card size is 4 X 6 1/2. The cardstock I used is from bazzill and the patterned papers are from Echo Park's "This and That" collection. I cut out this cute owl using my Give a Hoot cricut cartridge and cut him out at 3 3/4". He can be found on page 55. I also added some googly eyes to him, I just love adding googly eyes to all my little animals! My owl is also on an action wobble!!!! I couldn't get a good picture of him wobbling!

I also cut out the oblong frames using my elegant edges cartridge and they are popped up on foam tape. I used a banner stamp from the "Dilly Dally" set from Making Memories to stamp my banner onto some patterned paper and cut them out. I used some lawn trimmings for the string to hold my banner and to finish off my card, I used the cutest sentiment "Owl be there for you" from Mary's CardzTV stamp set, For the Birds

Well that is all I have for you today but please stop by Cardz TV and see what my other design team sisters have created and link up your own project for a chance to win some of Mary's awesome stamps!!

Cricut Cardz Challenge #112

Happy Monday my friends! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. I had a stressful weekend to say the least but I did manage to squeeze in some crafting time for myself. Whenever I am stressed, all I have to do is go hide away in my craft room and the stress goes away once I start playing!

So I decided to join the Cricut Cardz Challenge #112, "Tag, You're it!" challenge going on over at Cardz TV. The challenge called for making a card with a tag or tags using any cricut cartridge so I pulled out my Jolly Holidays cricut cartridge and made this cute holiday card

The cardstock is from Bazzill and the patterned papers are from DCWV. I cut out this cute gingerbread man out at 3" and I also cut out the tag at 1 3/4". My sentiment "warm wishes" comes from a stamp set from Hot off the Press. I added some cute googly eyes to my gingerbread man to give him some personality and to finish off the card, I added some twine and yarn in red and green. Well I hope you pop over to Cardz TV and link up your "Tag, You're it" card challenge! Well thank you for stopping by my blog today and I hope you have a wonderful week ahead!

Say it with Sentiments Challenge #79

Hi Friends! Hope you are all having a great weekend. Today I'm sharing a card I made for Paper Playtime's Say it with Sentiments challenge. For this challenge the sentiment was "miss you" or to create a card or project letting that special someone in your life know that they are missed. So here is the card I created

I took a background stamp by Hampton Arts and inked it up using versamark ink and then heat embossed the image using some black EP. I colored the image in using multiple copics and unfortunately I had put about half of them away before I noticed  that I didn't write them down, so I couldn't tell you which copics I did use. All I do know is that I used quite a few of them and I can say that I was very pleased with how vibrant the copics color popped on this image after it had already been heat embossed. It gave a raised image and I just loved the look of it! I then took my white sakura gel pen and made some dots around certain portions of the image to make them pop a bit more. The image is up on foam tape.

The sentiment "missing you" was actually a dollar stamp that I pulled out of a bin at Michael's long ago so this was the perfect stamp for this challenge. To finish off my card I added some twine from The Twinery.
Thank you for stopping by my blog today!!

Christmas in July Challenge w/Just A Scrappin~

Hello my friends! Happy Thursday! Are you anxiously excited that tomorrow is Friday and the weekend will be here! I know I am! I have so much to do this weekend and with my daughter's birthday less then 4 weeks away, I need to get in my craft room and get a jump start on her party favors and birthday banner. I live for my weekends =) Today is Thursday and we know what that means! It's another challenge over at Just A Scrappin and this week's challenge is Christmas in July! The colors to use this week are WHITE, BLACK, PINK and any other color that you would like to incorporate. So I chose blue as my additional color and I decided go with more of a wintery feel and this is what I came up with....
I went with a different size card today and made this a 4x4 card. My solid cardstock is from Bazzill and patterned papers are from DCWV. I stamped this adorable Fiona and her friend Penguin stamp by Your Next Stamp in momento tuxedo blank ink and colored it in using my copics: B52,BV00,RV02,RV63,V15,E000,E00,YR01,Y19,W5 and 100. The image was cut out using my spellbinder's classic cirlcles and is up on one thickness of foam tape. The sentiment "So Cool" is from Paper Trey Ink's Handwritten Notes stamp set. I just LOVE this stamp set. I reach for it a lot because of the versatility of it. I went with the "So Cool" sentiment because well, it's cool outside during the winter! The sentiment is up on two thicknesses of foam tape and I cut it into a banner. Well that is all I have for you but please stop by Just A Scrappin's blog to see what my other DT sisters have created for this challenge. I hope you get creative and play along with us this week! Thanks for stopping by!

July's Summer Fun Blog Hop w/Just A Scrappin'~

If you have not started the blog hop yet, be sure to start at the beginning at Just A Scrappin so you don't miss out!. To go with our Summer Fun theme I've created this card

Papers used are Bazzill and Echo Park. I cut the ice cream cone from my Doodlecharms cricut cartridge at 3". The ice cream cone can be found on page 106. I added some confetti glitter to the top of the ice cream cone and then coated it with some glossy accents.

The sentiment I used is from Mary's Fun in the Sun stamp set.

I used the sentiment "stayin cool by the pool" from the set and just inked up only "stayin cool". I cut it out using spellbinder's fancy labels 3 die. What better way to cool off in the hot summer sun then by having a cold ice cream cone right? To finish off the card I added some mint green liquid pearls and added some ribbon that I had in my ribbon stash.

Well thats it for my card today! Your next stop on the hop is Belinda's blog so be sure to visit each of my DT sisters blogs for some fun and exciting projects. ~Happy Birthday~

Happy Thursday my friends! This week has been flying by, has it been for you?? Heck I think July is already flying by~before we know it all the Holidays will be here. I have been so so excited since making the design teams at Just A Scrappin and Cardz TV that my mind is full of so many ideas that I just cannot wait to share with you! My weekend is going to be a crafty one so I'm hoping to get lots done.

I have a card I want to share with you today that I actually made last week. My mom's birthday is coming up so I decided to make her a birthday card using Mary's CardzTV Stamp set, Happy Days

I used the sentiment "Happy Birthday" from this set and stamped it with my momento tuxedo black ink onto some white bazzill cardstock.

My card base is 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 and my papers are from Colorbok, Bazzill and Authentique's Free Bird Comfort and Familiar collection. My sentiment layer and the blue layer beneath it were cut using my spellbinder's Fleur de lis rectangles and both layers are popped up on foam tape. I used some liquid pearls to create the pearls on the front of the card.

Here is a peek at the inside:

Well that is all I have for you today.
I hope you all enjoy your day!

Want to share with you....

Hi Friends,
I am so sorry this is going out so late but I have been feeling so sick today! It must be from all this crazy heat we are getting. Okay so in yesterday's post I said I had some news I wanted to share with you all. I just found out that I'm going to be an aunt again!!! For those of you who have been following me for awhile, you know that my younger sister Brittany just had surgery to remove cancer in her ovaries. Well by the grace of God, she has found out that she is pregnant after doctors told her she could not concieve. So of course I am thrilled!!! I wanted to share with you all here because you are just not "blog followers" to me. You are my friends and my family through our love of paper crafting. I have developed some great friendships from blogging and I hope to continue to grow my friendship base with each and every one of you. Always remember that we already have something in common that we adore, our paper crafting! So if any of you ever need to talk or find yourselves up late at night when the rest of the world is asleep, you know you can reach out to me through my email or on facebook because I am always UP! No kidding!!! LOL  My body doesn't know how to sleep anymore with all the pain I am in so believe me when I say, I average 3-4 hours of sleep per night.

Okay well that about sums it up! I hope you are all having a wonderful night!

Hugs,

Christmas in July Challenge #1- Season's Greetings

Hey Friends! Today I am sharing a card that I made for CardzTV's Christmas in July challenge. The challenge was to create a Christmas card using an animal, so this is what I came up with.

This penquin is too cute!!! I cut him out on my cricut expression at 3". He can be found on the Winter Frolic cartridge on page 57. I used some PK Glitz White Orchid glitter to make his hat glissen and I added some googly eyes because I just love how they look. He's even on an action wobble! Here he is "wobbling"

I used bazzill cream cardstock and Christmas papers from DCVW for this card. My sentiment was inked up using my momento tuxedo black in and is from the My Mind's Eye's 12 Days of Christmas stamp set. The sentiment is popped up on one thickness of foam tape. To finish off my card I added a cute little green button to the corner.

Well that is all I have but there is still time to make your Christmas card using your favorite animal and link it up HERE by midnight EDT tonight! I have some exciting news to share tomorrow so make sure you come back!!

Happy 4th~ July with Just A Scrappin!

Happy Fourth of July my friends!!!! I am sure many of you have had a taste of summer with this heat we have all been getting and with the Holiday comes pool parties, bbqs and family fun! Fourth of July for my family is a huge event and it's the start of our summer and it's the start of a month full of amazing challenges and a super blog hop over at Just A Scrappin'! This week's challenge is to create a project, card or layout using the colors Red, White and Blue and to use any other two colors. So here is my card for this week's challenge.

My card is a standard A2 card. I used the three main colors of red/white/blue and the two colors that I incorporated were cream and black. The cardstock used was bazzill and the pattered papers are from K and Company. I cut the two banners with my trimmer and created the banners with my scissors. The word "happy" is a stamp by "Ditto" and the "4th" was a stamp I used from Making Memories numbers stamps. The "4th" sentiment is up on foam tape. I also added some washi tape under the sentiment with a quarter of an inch strip of red paper to draw my reader's eyes into the center of the card. I usually do not make July 4th cards so I think this came out pretty nice. Very patriotic, don't ya think?
Here is a peek at the inside:

Now be sure to head on over to Just A Scrappin and see what my design team sisters have created and link up your own project for a chance to win some blog candy!! Enjoy your Holiday!!!
Hugs,
